Wadi Zarqa Maain(upper part)

This is one of the big ones. Going towards the Dead Sea, the canyon is divided by Maa'in spa and the new road from the Panorama to Makawir. Its water source is mostly warm water from deep underground spring. The trail is mostly narrow, with two major waterfalls at the first part (before the Spa). The falls are 35 and 40 meters high. The second part consists more of pools and jumps and big boulder blocks.

One day trip

A 3km water hike with 2 abseils. A green and a beautiful easy hike.

Departure point will be from Tropical Desert offices on the 3rd circle Amman

During winter timing, we will be leaving at 07:30 in the morning. During summer timing, you guys get to sleep another extra hour.

Return time depends on number in the group and their physical status. None the less no group will get on the return bus/car at night.

For this trip, we provide you with the food and all the gear necessary for the abseils. Our packaging is guaranteed waterproof.


It is one and  half hour drive to the beginning of the trail, and one and  half drive back to Amman. If you want to drive your own car, you will have an extra 30 minutes drive back to your car.
