10 Days Desert Tour To Imperial Cities & Coast From Casablanca
Day 1: Airport – Casablanca
Our personalized tour begins with a ride from the airport to your hotel in Casablanca; the biggest and most important city in Morocco, there where you’ll be served a delicious welcome meal in your honor as soon as you arrive. Today’s itinerary is dependent on your arrival time; depending on the time, we may visit a few of Casablanca’s most popular and iconic touristic destinations, including the Hassan II mosque; Morocco and Africa’s biggest mosque and one of the most important and iconic monuments of the islamic world, and also Morocco Mall shopping center; one of the biggest and most important malls in Africa, finaly we’ll visit a local fascinatimg beach area in the surroundings where you’ll be able to enjoy your time, and then after that we’ll transport you back to the hotel.

Day 2: Casablanca – Meknes – Volubilis – Fes
This morning, we’ll be able to see the tourist attractions in Casablanca, the biggest city and the economic capital of Morocco that we weren’t able to see on the first day. We’ll next travel to Meknes, the ismailian capital that was ones before a capital of the country, it’s a historic imperial city surrounded by one of Morocco’s key wine districts, and following lunch in the city in one of the local restaurants .We’ll drive to the ancient Roman remains of Volubilis, the 3000 years old city, after a quick break in Meknes. You will have time to explore the ruins and mosaics on your own or for a more immersive experience hire a local guide. We’ll next go to Fes, one of the old capitals of Morocco, where we’ll spend the night in a small traditional riad.

Day 3: Exploring Fes – guided tour of the city
This entire day will be dedicated to exploring Fez, well known for being Morocco’s cultural and spiratual capital. Our itinerary for this day will include visiting the Medieval Medina that stunns visitors with its medieval Marinid architecture, the beautiful and stunning Nejjarine traditional public Fountain, then the Moulay Idriss Mausoleum which is the medina’s holiest shrine, it contains a mosque, shrine, old school or Madrassa And a Sanctuary, after we’ll head to the famous Karaouine Mosque which is well known for being the oldest university in the world but unfortunately only external visits are allowed but for sure we’ll get the most of what it gives. After exploring The old university you will be given the option of having lunch at a traditional restaurant in the heart of old Medina where you can enjoy the old-world atmosphere. Later, we will pay a late afternoon visit to the vibrant Souks where you’ll surely go back in time to the medieval period, then we’ll bring you back to our current day by visiting Fez Jdid that is known as the new city. Finally we’ll end our day’s schedule by returning to the hotel.

Day 4: Fes – Ifrane – Midelt – Erfoud – Rissani – Merzouga Desert
Today and after having breakfast, we will be heading to the beautiful city Ifran. The city of Ifrane is well known for the name of ‘the Moroccan Switzerland’ and the most beautiful city of the country. Then you will be continuing to apples city Midelt that is situated in the middle of mountains, after that we will be passing via the Ziz beautiful Valley until we get to Erfoud city. This city Erfoud is a very well known city for the local antique fossil unique products that for sure goes back to millions of years. It is optional if you want us to take a stop to have more knowledge about the fossils and about this region generally if you would like to. After exploring Erfoud, we will be heading to old Souks or market that the city of Rissani is known for, where we’ll surely stop to explore it, this very old city that is considered as the city where the current ruling family, the Alaouite dynasty started. Our itinerary for this day will come to an end in the heart of the southeastern Moroccan desert; the city of Merzouga, the city where we will be staying the night in a famous hotel that is located in the borders of desert huge dunes that the city is famous four.

Day 5: Merzouga Desert and camel trek to desert camp
We’ll travel to a what will be a checkpoint for us inside the desert of Merzouga after having your breakfast today. We’ll change our 4×4 vehicle for camels when we get there (optional). Then, with the help of an expert camel guide, visit the stunning Erg Chebbi area. The trip to the campground will take approximately an hour and a half of time. We’ll see a magnificent sunset behind the huge dunes once we arrive. We will have our meal in a joyful atmosphere around the campfire after it becomes dark. Under the desert sky, we’ll spend the night in authentic Berber tents.

Day 6: Merzouga Desert – Todra Gorges – Dades Gorges
We’ll get up early this morning to see the very special and beatiful sunrise behind the huge dunes after that we’ll be heading to a nearby hotel to clean and have our breakfast. After we’ll go to Todra Gorge, known for being Morocco’s narrowest and tallest gorge, through Rissani and the nomadic city Tinghir. We’ll drive in the Dades huge Valley after lunch at the Gorge. We’ll pause to discover the rocks geological formations known as “the Monkey feet or toes” in the area. We’ll spend the night there at Dades Valley tonight.

Day 7: Dades Gorges – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech
Today, your personalized trip begins with a journey to KalaatMgouna; the city of roses and Ouarzazate, the very well known as “Africa’s Hollywood”, where some of the very famous productions were filmed such as ‘’Gladiator’’, ‘’Game Of Thrones’’ and ‘’Lawrence of Arabia’’ and more. We can go to the famous film studio and the Kasbah in the surroundings while we’re here. After that, we’ll go to visit and explore the Ait Ben-Haddou Kasbah or fortress, Morocco’s biggest Kasbah and the acknowledged as a World Heritage Site from the UNESCO. We’ll carry driving through the beautiful and panoramic views of the High Atlas huge Mountains till we arrive in Marrakech for the night.

Day 8: Marrakech guided tour
This whole day will be dedicated to exploring the city of Marrakech. The schdule for today will include visiting the city’s most prominent sites and landmarks, such as the medieval Jamaa el Fana famous Square, the Koutoubia old Mosque, the local markets or souks and its old-world atmosphere, architecturally fascinating palaces, and the special museums. We’ll also visit the new Gueliz avenue, and just after the Menara beautiful Gardens, then the Majorelle historic Museum, among other places in the city. You’ll have the opportunity to discover all the city got to offer at your own after lunch that will be at a local restaurant. We’ll go back again to Jamaa El Fana to have a traditional dinner from one of the food vendors in the square, or maybe have a Moroccan traditional hammam or both if you would like to. And after that we’ll head back to the marrakech hotel or riad that you will be staying in for the night.

Day 9: Marrakech – Essaouira (1-day excursion)
Today, we’ll have a tour guided by a specialist for the amazing Essaouira, the special and famous city at the coast of the Atlantic along with the renowned Skala de la Kasbah and its 18th century historic walls, and its more fascinating and relaxing Medina. After that, we’ll head back to the hotel or riad in the city of Marrakech where you’ll spend your last night in this special tour with Tropical Desert Trips.

Day 10: Marrakesh – Casablanca Med V airport
We’ll transport you to the capital Casablanca today, and then there your journey comes to an end which brings our services to a close.
