7 Days Desert Tour To Imperial Cities & North From Casablanca
Day 1: Casablanca – Rabat
After you arrive to Casablanca’s airport, we’ll meet you there and drive you through the city of Casablanca, then after heading to Rabat city. In the biggest city of Morocco Casablanca, we will pay a visit to the beautifully architected Hassan II iconic Mosque; Morocco and Africa’s biggest mosque and one of the most important and iconic monuments of the islamic world. Proceeding to the capital Rabat; Morocco’s official and administrative capital which is also known for being the royal and city of the country. Our schedule in this city will consider visiting the beautifully architected Hassan Tower, Rabat’s symbol and its most known monument, the minaret of an incompleted mosque that goes back to the 12th century, from there we’ll walk to the very well known 800 years old Oudaya Garden & Kasbah; the remains of the Mowahideen era. After that we’ll drive you straight to the Riad hotel where you’ll be staying for the night which is located in the middle of the old medina.

Day 2: Rabat – Assilah – Tangier – Chefchaouen
Following breakfast in the Riad/hotel, we will jump on the road driving to the beautiful city Chefchaouen through Assilah city which means that we’ll be driving and travelling by the stunning coast of the Atlantic ocean. First we’ll stop in Asilah, one of Morocco’s most beautiful cities, that is located in the south of Tangier city, it’s famous for the Arts Festival that takes place in August of every year, that’s why every wall in the city or Medina is painted by plenty of world’s most popular artists. Your schedule will consist of visiting the beautiful fortress of Skalla, where you’ll be able to have an amazing experience of the stunning panoramic view where the ocean and the coast of Medina meet. Depending on the time we have, we may drive trough Tangier to just feel the city and what it gets to offer. Then we will proceed our trip to Chefchaouen passing through the hills of the huge Rif enormous Mountains which are considered among the highest and longest chain of mountains in the country.

Day 3: Chefchaouen – Fes
Following the breakfast in the hotel/Riad where you have stayed the night, you will begin heading to one of the 4 imperial cities of Morocco; the city of Fes, well known for being Morocco’s cultural and spiritual capital. Our itinerary for this morning will include visiting the Medieval Medina that stunns visitors with its medieval Marinid architecture, after we’ll head to the famous Karaouine Mosque which is well known for being the world’s oldest university and for sure we’ll get the most of what it has to offer. Then the Madrasa/school Bouanania; that is widely acknowledged as a high point of Marinid architecture and of historic Moroccan architecture generally. On the way we’ll visit the famous Tanneries of Fez, which tends to be the world’s oldest tanneries, and then the beautiful and stunning Nejjarine traditional public Fountain.
After having lunch our journey exploring the city continues, you will be taken outside the old medina in order to visit the royal golden palace famous gate, which is known for its colorful imposing façade, our schedule contains also walking through the old Jewish quarter or what is called ‘’ the Mellah’’, and then by the end of the afternoon visit some traditional pottery cooperatives which the city is very famous for.
Finally and by the end of the day we will head into a fortress of the many that the city have, in order to enjoy the amazing city of Fez in a panoramic unforgettable view where you’ll be able to admire the whole city.

Day 4: Fes – Azrou – Midlet – Ziz Valley – Merzouga
You’ll leave your Riad hotel after breakfast heading to the southeast of Morocco, specifically to Merzouga the heart of the southeastern desert of morocco, passing by the beautiful cities Midelt in the middle of the mountains and Errachidia in the middle of the desert. The first destination will be Ifran, the city that everyone calls the ‘’Moroccan Switzerland’’ because of its alpine-style architecture and nearby ski slopes and forests, after that we’ll be heading to the other destination Merzouga, our path will be in the middle of the atlas mountains through the city of Midlet continuing to the tremendous Ziz Valley that will present a spectacular sight. While you’re travelling you’ll be experiencing glimpses of the longest and biggest chain of mountains of Morocco which are the higher and middle Atlas beautiful mountains. You will for sure stop at the well known cedar huge forest which is considered as the largest and the most important in the country where you can have fun observing the Barbarian macaques which are an endangered kind of apes that lives in the forest. As we get closer and closer to Errachidia city you will notice the obvious change in the environment that changes from the green and beautiful to the pale and desertic geology. After having lunch in the city of apples Midelt, you will proceed your journey along the enormous Ziz Valley, where we’ll stop for the panoramic views that will be following us along our journey. We will head to Erfoud passing by the welcoming kind Berber or Amazigh villages, and then to Rissani, the culturally and historically rich city, which is the city where the Morocco ruling family nowadays; the Alaouite family was founded. Arriving finally to Merzouga, where you will be beginning a special experience which is a camel joyful ride guided, which will be led by a camel specialist man to discover and explore the famous sand wide sea of pearl of the desert Merzouga. Finally you will finish the day at the desert traditional camp that you will stay the night after having dinner. We’ll make sure that the camp will be equipped with comforting flush toilets for your comfort.

Day 5: Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Dades Gorges
You will be awoken extremely early the next day by the camel guide to take you somewhere in the middle of the desert, where you will witness what may be one the best sunrises that you will ever see in your life. After that, you’ll return to Merzouga, and along the road, you will be able to experience the beauty and uniqueness of the stunning Erg Chebbi huge dunes, which colors changes with daylight. After having the breakfast in the Riad/hotel, depart for the Valley of Dades, where you will explore the Todra Canyons, Morocco’s tallest and narrowest gorges. After lunch in the valley, there will be a chance for you to go on an optional hour-long hike snaking and strolling the fields to see a mud historic village, you can also meet residents, which will teach you about their unique culture. Continue on into Dades beautiful Valley, the place where you may witness the spectacular sand huge castles and then to the incredible rock geological formation that is known by the name of “The monkey toes or feet”. Your hotel will be your home for the night, with an amazing view of the Valley of Dades.

Day 6: Dades Gorge – Rose Valley – Ouarzazat – Marrakech
We’ll leave the hotel after breakfast and travel via the Valley of Dades to KalaaM’gouna and the well known city of Ouarzazat. Your journey on the road that goes via Dades beautiful Valley is known as the thousand fortresses or Kasbahs road, and it offers several possibilities to capture some of the best photographs of your trip. We’ll make a pit stop in KalaaMgouna, the city that people call the city of Roses, to buy rosewater that is prepared the old way and that will keep your linen smelling fresh long after the trip is finished. Continuing to Skoura and its famous bird’s valley, where you will explore the very old and special Kasbah Ameridil before continuing to the red city Marrakech then checking into your Riad or hotel upon arrival.

Day 7: Exploring Marrakech & transfer to Casablanca airport
Following having your breakfast in your Riad/hotel, you will be able to begin touring Marrakech, Morocco’s “Red City” and it’s most famous city. The guide that will be taking care of you will make sure that you experience the majority of the cultural and historical monuments and touristic destinations that the city got to offer, including the famed Jama El Fana historical square where you will enjoy the very special medieval atmosphere and the extraordinary circles of the storytellers and entertainers, then the Koutoubia icon Mosque that is still standing from the Mouahedeen era, the Saadian old tombs; and the architecturally special Palace of Bahia; the fascinating Majorelle Gardens; and pay a small visit to Marrakech’s new city and the historic Koutoubia iconic tower during the afternoon. Later, we will take you to the airport that you will be departing from in the late evening. Your tour with tropical desert trips comes to an end at the Casablanca International Airport which brings our services to an end.
