Rabat To Marrakech Tour 7 days

Day 01 : Rabat – Meknes – MoulayIdriss – Fes

“Morocco Travel Holidays” welcomes you to travel around Morocco with a private rabat tour guide , you will meet our driver for the first time in Rabat. In the early morning you will departure for the culturally and historically rich city of Meknes, Sultan Moulay Ismail’s Imperial City and Morocco’s ismailian capital, including paying a visit to the Medina or old city, and Bab el Mansour, the city’s massive gateway and major entrance and one of the biggest historical doors in the world. On your approach to the holy town of MoulayIdriss, the legend holy founder of Morocco’s first indigenous Islamic kingdom, stop at the Roman remains of the 3000 years old city of Volubilis, the best and oldest archaeological site in the country, with its old mosaics, temples, and the famous triumphal arch. We will  then continue to Fes, where you will check into your hotel where you’ll be staying the night.

Day 02 : Fes Sightseeing Tour

We will Pick you up from your accommodation for a tour to wander and explore the city of Fes, the oldest imperial city in the world and Morocco’s cultural and spiritual capital. You will be visiting The mellah or the Jewish quarter; one of the oldest in the country, the old medieval medina with its super old architected alleys and streets, you will also explore the various designs of the old mosques’s façades, the Koranic school Al Boaunania and the university El Karaouine; the oldest university not only in Morocco but in the whole world. We well after have lunch in a traditional restaurant in the heart of the old medina. Then you will pay a visit to one of the oldest mosques in Morocco; the Andalous mosque, and then to the old medina holy place the mausoleum of Moulay Idriss but only from the outside. We will have a panoramic visit of the city to explore the most we can. The late in the day you will have your dinner and then stay the night in your hotel.

Day 03 : Fes – Ifrane – Azrou – Merzouga desert

After having your breakfast, you will be picked up from your accommodations in your hotel and will be driven south over the Middle Atlas mountains to Ifrane and Azrou. You’ll stop in the biggest cedar forests in Morocco along the trip to observe the Barbarian Apes in their native environment. Continuing our travel and as you reach Errachidia, you’ll witness views of the Middle-Atlas mountains and the terrain shifting to give glimpses of the desert as you go via the beautiful TiziNtalghamt pass to the city of apples Midelt and down the dazzling views of the  Ziz Gorges that was shaped by the volcanic rocks. After lunch, we’ll continue our drive via the Ziz Valley to the Merzouga hotel, where you’ll leave your stuff in a safe room and then ride a camel to a Berber camp in the heart of the Erg Chebbi Dunes in the middle of the desert, the dunes that are considered as North Africa’s tallest sand dunes. The camel trip to the camp will take around 1 hour and 30 minutes of time. Mattresses, blankets, and pillows and all what you need for your own comfort is all provided in the tents. After having dinner, you’ll gather around the fire to listen to traditional Berber drums while gazing at the beautiful sky of the desert. Then you will have dinner and stay the night in the camp.

Day 04 : Exploring Merzouga

The next morning and in order to be able to watch what may be one the best sunrises in your life, you will ride camels early in the morning to the edge of the Sahara Moroccan desert and to the Merzouga Dunes, and as stated the tallest in North Africa. Imagine the experience of riding a camel across the Saharan landscapes just the way people were doing that in the past. In the village of Khamlia; well known as the black village, we will also get the opportunity to listen to desert Gnawa music from the African culture. Then it’s on to the ruins of what was once the medieval city of Sigilmassa, passing through date palm gardens. We’re having a local food for this night for dinner and also for breakfast next day.

Day 05 : Erg Chebbi – Erfoud – Todra – Dades

Begin your day by driving to Erfoud to view the foggaras; the old pipes that goes back to the fifteenth century, then to Tinghir palm grove which is considered the biggest in Morocco, and then to the Todra Canyons. Lunch will be  served at the Canyon’s bottom to experience and explore the beauty of the place. Next you’ll pass via Boumalne and the dramatic landscape of the Dades Valley on your way to the huge Dades canyons, that is also mentioned as the road of the thousand kasbahs. This night you will be staying in an inn.

Day 06 :Dades – Roses valley – Ouarzazate

The next morning you will be visiting the Kasbah of Taourirt after driving through the famous Valley of Roses to the Thousand Kasbahs and then arriving to Ouarzazate, the African Hollywood where many cinematic works and TV shows were shot such ‘’gladiator’’, ‘’prince of persia’’ and the most famous show ‘’GOT’’. In Ouarzazate, you will be spending the night in a hotel.

Day 07 :Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddoukasbah

This morning you will be leaving Ouarzazate west to explore AitBenhaddou kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and also considered as the biggest fortress in Morocco where famous films such as “Laurence of Arabia,” “Obelix,” “The Mummy,” and other cinematic works were filmed. Then we’ll head back on the route to the red city Marrakech, with breaks in beautiful vistas of the High Atlas mountains, then cross to rejoin the path to Marrakech, but not before passing over the spectacular mountain pass of Tizin’Tichka (2260m altitude), which is a sight to see that has a panoramic breathtaking far reaching view where you’ll be able to see all the region. When you arrive to Marrakech our services will have come to an end.
