Rabat To Marrakech Tours 6 Days

Day 1: Rabat

We will meet you and will be picking you up from Rabat Airport and then bring you to the hotel where you will be spending the interesting next 6 days of your vacation. First we’ll take you to see the famed Royal Palace, which is located at the end of the Mechouar which is a huge parade ground that also contains a small mosque. The  palace which was built in 1864 and is now the King of Morocco’s official home. The fortified Oudayas Kasbah which was built in the 12th century, then the beautifully landscaped Chellah Gardens, the iconic minaret of an incomplete mosque the Hassan Tower, and the Mohamed V Mausoleum which one of the legends of the country Hassan 2 was buried, these attractions will all be visited. Later you will have dinner served at your hotel in the same city in Rabat.

Day 2: Rabat – Meknes – Volubilis – Fez

This day and following breakfast in the hotel, we will be traveling from the capital of the country Rabat to one of Morroco’s important cities Fes City, the oldest city in Morocco which is considered the spiritual and cultural capital of the country that used to be the official capital once. Before arriving at to the 3000 years old remains of  the city of Volubilis where we’ll stop to explore the remains remained mostly undamaged till the earthquake in the middle of the eighteenth century, we will after drive to the iconic  Meknes city, which is considered as one of the Morocco’s four Imperial cities that are considered as a UNESCO world heritage sites, there we’ll be exploring the city by first visiting the renowned Square of EL Hedim which used to be a place where the army forces gather in the 18th century, then the legendary Sultan Moulay Ismail Mausoleum, and then we’ll wander through the streets of the Old Medina. You will be served dinner and stay the night in your accommodation hotel in Fez city.

Day 3: Fez – Ifrane – Cedar Forest – Erfoud – Merzouga

Your trip will continue after having the breakfast in the accommodation with departing early from Fez. We will be leaving Fez for the city of Ifran, well known as Morocco’s Little Switzerland, a beautiful city in the middle of the mountains, where we will make a small tour to explore what this fascinating small city got to offer for us.

We will be next passing through Azrou and its huge cedar forest which is the biggest in Morocco, this forest is considered as a home to some really unique and endangered Barbarian Apes, who are in fact monkeys that live in this beautifully landscaped cedar forest.

As soon as you arrive. It will be an excellent opportunity to photograph Morocco’s forestry, the cedar forest, and have the opportunity to interact with the wild apes inside the Azrou Cedar Woods. You will be having lunch at a traditional restaurant in the city of minerals and apples Midelt. After this experience we will continue our journey to the famous Valley of Ziz, the place in which we will surely have a photo when we stop at an amazing view of the whole Ziz Valley. Next we’ll be heading to Erfoud to see its famous old dates market and the fossil workers that this city is well known of. When we arrive into the city of Merzouga, the city in the heart of the southeastern desert and check-in into your hotel for the duration of your stay upon arrival and later have dinner.

Day 4: Merzouga – Khamlia – Rissani – Erg Chebbi

This day and after breakfast, you’ll go on an explorative tour to the large sea of sands of Erg Chebbi. We will also pay a visit to Khamila village also known as the black village which is a small settlement in the heart of the desert near Erg Chebbi’s largest dunes, where you may visit a some native Berber home and listen to some Gnawa music, the music that was originally originated in West Africa. After that, you’ll go to the historic city of Rissani, the capital of Tafilalet region, a beautiful tiny oasis village located on the Sahara’s northwest boundary. Rissani is known for its souk or old market. You will be visiting the famed Rissani Market, which is famous for selling jewelry, souvenirs, gifts, spices, art, and crafts just as any other old market of the old cities. You will have lunch in Rissani which will be a traditional Moroccan pizza known as “Medfouna” which is the specialty of this region.  After that we’ll return back to your Merzouga desert hotel and prepare for your travel to Erg Chebbi, where you will take a camel ride back to the desert camp for a second night beneath the stars.
